In the kingdoms of this earth, only in historical hindsight can we fully know which side of a conflict was wise or just. In Jesus’ kingdom, however, we can apply hindsight to our present and our future already right now. You see, Jesus’ resurrection from the dead is undeniable proof that he is the wise and just King he claims to be. So everyone who builds their life on him has a firm foundation both now and forever. In the meantime, all who live as his enemies will be brought to a wretched end.
